 digital ecosystem for the
 arts in the nordic region?
			
The Nordic countries have a strong infrastructure of public and semi public cultural institutions. The digital landscapes expands quickly creating new ways of distribution and audience involvement. How can we use the resources of the current digital landscape and improve the infrastructure?
DURING 2012 AND  2013 WE ARE CARRYING OUT THREE CONFERENCES ON THE THEMATIC OF DIGITAL ECOSYSTEMS. YOU ARE INVITED TO TAKE PART IN THE THIRD OF THREE TRULY DIGITAL SEMINARS IN HELSINKI 20th TO 21st OF SEPTEMBER 2013.

			Pelle Snickars 
Author, National Library, Stockholm University
						Head of Research at the National Library of Sweden, also an Assistant Professor at the Department of Cinema Studies, Stockholm University. He has published numerous books on various aspect of media history as well as new media. This year, he published anthologies, Moving Data, The iPhone and the Future of Media and Myten om Internet.
 
			Karin Lekberg 
				Subtopia
				
						CEO for the creative cluster Subtopia in Alby, Botkyrka. Previously Managing Director at Upplev Botkyrka AB and Head of cultural development at Botkyrka kommun.
 
			Geer Oskam 
Senior Marketing Specialist at Europeana
						Europe's portal for digitized cultural heritage, giving access to over 20 million digital objects from Europe's museums, libraries and archives. At Europeana he is responsible for marketing strategy, network contact and user engagement concepts. Geer was previously also project manager of the Amsterdam Museums Night (n8).

					Mats Lindberg is the CEO of Visual Arts Copyright Society in Sweden since 1989. He has several international assignments including IFRRO and European Visual Artists. He participated as an expert in the latest copyright investigation and was previously the Association Secretary for The Artists Organisation, KRO.

						Max Valentin is a cultural producer and innovator in the field of participatory culture working with technology, human interaction and learning. Max among other things run www.crowdculture.se a hybrid economical on-line platform mixing crowdfunding investments with public funds. Parallel with the platform development he does cultural policy studies and produces multiple platform games for learning.

							a hybrid production company, specialized in the field of advanced digital production for web, mobile, physical installations and other media, with customers like Arcade Fire and Google.

					CONSULTANT AT MUSEDIA IN THE AREAS OF DIGITAL MEDIA INTERPRETATION, VISITOR/USER EVALUATION AND EXHIBITION DEVELOPMENT. 
					
							He was previously a part of a museum R&D group at the Interactive Institute in Stockholm, co-founding the Nordic NODEM conference series. Since 2006 he runs the blog MuseiTeknik.

							Is a graduated director of the Theater Academy in Malmö and holds a master degree in film, TV and radio for children and young people at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic arts. Rebecca is known as the founder and artistic director of Kista Theater and for RATS= Research in Artistic TechnologieS at Stockholms University, Department of Computer and systems science, DSV. Rebecca will show pieces of her work with digitial theater.

					This, the last of the three conferences in the series of Truly Digital – A Nordic Ecosystem for the Arts consists of two days: 
  
					
					Day 1 will look into the fuzzy boarders between public/private, individual/community, online democracy and engagement. The working title for day 1 is "Open data is nothing without a narrative". We ask our selves who is the hero, who is the villain on the dramatic curve that takes place on multiple platforms.
 
Day 2 is a co-arrangement together with The Nordic Culture Fund and is dedicated to the Fund´s upcoming DKK 3 million grant for “DIGITAL 2015-2016” to boost Nordic digital arts and culture. The focus is on Digital Arts production and dissemination, ideas, consultation and match-making.

			Pernilla Rendahl
				Gothenburg University
				
						Pernilla Rendahl is senior lecturer at the School of Business, Law and Economics at Gothenburg university. She has specialized in value added taxation and her main research project is Cross-Border VAT on Media Services in the EU Pernilla has also been involved in a multi-disciplinary research project in co-operation with Swedish TV-producers focusing on the regulatory framework for Swedish TV-producers in a transforming media landscape. Pernilla will help us imagine what a future taxations system could be, when capital accumulation does not look as before.

Netopia and Swedish Games Industry 
						Per Strömbäck takes interest in the field of digital content, both in his previous career as game developer and -publisher, and more recently as the editor of Netopia – a web magazine and forum on the digital society – and as editor of two anthologies; “Gratis?” (Volante 2009) and “The Myth of the Internet” (with Pelle Snickars, Volante 2012). Per’s upcoming book “The Dream of Alexandria” (Timbro 2013) takes a closer look on the mixed blessing of unlimited distribution.
